Built for sharper knives, smoother cuts, and a better way to sharpen at home.

Sharper knives, fast: Bring dull edges back without the guesswork.
Made to stand apart: Limited edition finish with laser-etched logo.
Smoother cuts: Help knives glide through prep with less drag.
Cleaner finish: Hone after sharpening for a more refined edge.
More control: 15° or 20° sharpening angles for the knives you use most.

Works With All Straight-Edge Knives

One setup for the knives you actually use.

Tumbler Pro works with all straight-edge (i.e. non-serrated) kitchen and outdoor knives. Use 20° for strong everyday edges (most common) and 15° for specialty blades or a finer finish. Simple enough for everyday use, flexible enough for different knives.

Which angle should I use: 15° or 20°?

The 20º and 15º angle options cover a vast majority of knives.

The 20° angle is the most common, especially for American knives , and provides a sturdy, long-lasting edge, ideal for everyday kitchen tasks and outdoor use. This angle sharpens quickly, keeping your knife ready for tougher jobs.
The 15° angle is designed for precision, offering a finer edge suited to knives like Damascus or high-quality carbon steel, perfect for detailed, delicate cuts.
For additional angle options, we offer the Knife Holder Pro.
Available for Tumbler Pro: To change the angle of your knife more quickly, add the Coarse Diamond Disc.

Tumbler vs others

Tumbler improves on traditional sharpening methods by removing their biggest drawbacks:

Vs. Whetstones: Precise but slow and difficult to master. Tumbler delivers similar accuracy in minutes, no skill required.
Vs. Pull-Through Sharpeners: Fast but aggressive. They can wear down your blade. Tumbler sharpens with a controlled angle, reducing unnecessary damage.
Vs. Professional Services: Effective but inconvenient and costly. Tumbler lets you sharpen at home, anytime, without the wait.
Vs. Honing Rods: Maintain an edge but don’t actually sharpen. Tumbler restores your blade to like-new sharpness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I pick the Tumbler Pro instead of the Original Tumbler?

The Tumbler Pro is built for professionals and dedicated chefs who require enhanced durability and versatility. It features a resilient resin body for long-lasting use, a four-layer diamond-coated sharpening disc for faster and smoother sharpening, and a ceramic honing disc for a razor-sharp finish. Plus, it offers a removable disc system, allowing you to upgrade with specialty whetstone discs for finer edge customization.

How is Tumbler different from other sharpeners?

Tumbler offers a unique blend of simplicity, precision, and professional-grade sharpness that outperforms traditional sharpening tools and services:

Versus a Honing Rod
Honing rods help maintain an edge by realigning the blade, but they don’t actually sharpen. Tumbler’s diamond-coated disc provides true sharpening, restoring your knife’s edge to like-new sharpness.

Versus Pull-Through Sharpeners
While pull-through sharpeners are quick, they can strip away excessive material, reducing blade lifespan. Tumbler’s rolling action and magnetic holder provide a controlled, consistent angle, giving you effective sharpening without excess wear.

Versus Whetstones
Whetstones deliver a precise edge but are time-intensive and tricky to master. Tumbler combines the accuracy of a whetstone with the ease of pre-set angles, offering a professional finish in minutes.

Versus Professional Sharpening Services
Professional sharpening can deliver good results, but it requires time and expense—and you’re left without your knives during the service. Tumbler allows you to achieve comparable, pro-grade sharpness at home anytime, with no wait

Which angle should I use: 15° or 20°?

The 20° angle provides a sturdy, long-lasting edge, ideal for everyday kitchen tasks and outdoor use. This angle sharpens quickly, keeping your knife ready for tougher jobs. The 15° angle is designed for precision, offering a finer edge suited to knives like Damascus or high-quality carbon steel, perfect for detailed, delicate cuts. Here’s a quick guide:

20° Angle
(Robust & Durable Edges)

• Western kitchen knives (e.g., chef’s knives, utility knives)
• Everyday stainless steel knives
• Outdoor and survival knives
• Pocket knives
• Hunting knives

15° Angle
(Precision & Fine Edges)

• Japanese kitchen knives (e.g., santoku, nakiri)
• High-quality carbon steel knives
• Damascus steel blades
• Fillet knives
• Specialty or delicate knives needing a sharper, thinner edge

These recommendations are general guidelines; check your knife’s specific manufacturer recommendations when possible.

Can I sharpen specialty and high-end knives with the Tumbler Pro?

Absolutely. The Tumbler Pro’s precision sharpening angles (15° and 20°) are perfect for both specialty blades like Damascus or carbon steel and all-purpose kitchen knives. Its removable disc system also lets you fine-tune for specific knife types by swapping in additional sharpening options.

How does the Tumbler Pro’s removable disc system work?

The Pro’s removable disc system allows you to switch out the sharpening discs to match your sharpening needs. While the Tumbler Pro includes a diamond-coated disc and ceramic honing disc, you can add optional discs such as:
- Whetstone Discs for extra precision and polishing, tailored to specific types of knives.
- Coarse Diamond Disc for faster sharpening when restoring your dullest knives or changing the angle on your blade.

What maintenance does the Tumbler Pro require?

The Tumbler Pro is designed for low-maintenance use. Simply clean the discs after each use with a dry cloth to remove any residue, and occasionally check for any debris buildup around the magnetic holder and disc area. There’s no need for oils or water with the standard sharpening and honing discs.

Can the Tumbler Pro sharpen serrated knives?

No, the Tumbler Pro, like the Original, is designed for straight-edge knives and does not support serrated knives.

Is there a satisfaction guarantee for the Tumbler Pro?

Yes! The Tumbler Pro comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, plus a 30-day money-back promise. It’s also backed by a warranty covering manufacturing defects, so you can purchase with confidence.
