Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need the strop if I already have the Tumbler or Tumbler Pro?

The strop is for people who want to go even further — aligning the microscopic edge for improved precision and longer edge retention. Think of it as the optional final touch, not a replacement.

How do I use the leather strop?

After sharpening, pull your knife across the strop away from the edge (not into it), alternating sides. A handful of passes is all it takes to refine and polish the edge. No pressure, no paste — just clean, consistent motion.

What kinds of knives can I use it with?

The strop works with kitchen knives, pocket knives, and field knives — anything that benefits from a polished, aligned edge. Just avoid serrated or deeply recurved blades.
